Would you accept an invitation by George Smiley for a drink at his favourite pub? No doubt I would! Granted, I’m not John Le Carrè, but I have nonetheless written a thriller, and created a character (Silvana Salieri) who likes the Queen’s Head Pub in Soho.
For those of you who have already read my novel “The Blind Eagle”, this will be all be familiar. To those who haven’t, I’m offering a good chance to spend a pleasant late afternoon in the nicest pub (according to Silvana and I, anyway) in the vicinity of Piccadilly Circus.
On Wednesday, April 11th, from 6 to 8pm, I will be glad to meet both present and future readers for a book reading at The Queen’s Head Pub. It will be a pleasure for me to meet and talk to you about my novel.
I originally wrote the book in Italian (“L’Aquila Cieca”) but it has since been translated into English by Edoardo Dalmonte, and is available on my website: www.massimilianonaldoni.com.
To cut a long story short, I’m not John Le Carrè (a God-like teacher if ever there was one) but, please, trust me: Silvana Salieri’s favourite pub is every bit as tempting as Smiley’s… See you on Wed. April 11th at The Queen’s Head!
